Re: How to Backup microSD for Galactio Car GPS?
If it is under warranty, I am sure they will replace it. If it is out of warranty, I really don't know.

Re: How to Backup microSD for Galactio Car GPS?
Yes, it's nice to be back!
Was "away" for some time as I was using Google Maps and Waze, and did not see the need to use MFM maps. But now that my car uses MFM maps, I feel the "need" to update the map.

How to Backup microSD for Galactio Car GPS?
My new car came with Galactio GPS running MFM and SLA maps. I noticed the supplied microSD is a puny "ddlink" brand Class 4 4GB card. As I know microSD cards can fail easily, I want to make a backup just in case. However, when I copied the contents to a new microSD card, the GPS software d...

Re: GALACTIO - Consultant
Hi I am more familiar with Garmin Nuvi GPS software, so I was stumped when my colleague asked me to help him out in his car GPS system. I have the following questions: 1. How do I make the font size bigger. There is one setting Map Font Size which I have already set to "Large" but it makes...

Re: Nuvi zoom problem
hi simseair, Keep us posted on whether this auto-zoom feature is still in the newer Nuvis. There are two other features which I do not understand Garmin's thinking are: - Device goes dead in tunnels and all routing info (including next exit) removed from screen display. Garmin should follow TomTom, ...

Re: Free MFM-Papago Map Beta v1.0
I just bought a iPhone 4 and I know that this current version is not supported yet. So, the last version supported on iPhone 4 should be MFM-Papago 100415 map?

Re: Free Malaysia & Singapore GPS Map: MFM-Garmin 100719
Thanks. 1, 2 & 3. I included all. 4. Chose to exclude since I don't search Chinese language POI. Discovered that I save about 200Kb when I exclude this. But noticed that comparing map with same features, this 100719 map is smaller in file size compared to 100705 map. I wonder why. When all optio...

Re: Free Malaysia & Singapore GPS Map: MFM-Garmin 100719
Guys, may I ask what the various options are for? 1. Exclude coloured polygons - I think this refers to excluding the colourful building outlines? Means no colour or no polygons at all? 2. Include Misc Business POI - I don't understand this. Care to explain? 3. Include Road POI - Does this mean that...

Flood Area POI or avoidance
Until recent times, floods have been relatively unheard of in modern Singapore. But now, from a once in 50 years flood, we have already been hit by 4 of them, with 3 of them in the last 2 months. Places affected include upmarket Bukit Timah area and (gasp) prime shopping area Orchard Road. I underst...

I don't think so and you would not need to set the time because I believe the time is very accurate as it is taken from the GPS satellite source. Hence, you are only required to set the time zone.
