But here's my problem: If want to simulate a route in another country all I do in the 1460 is to address the start point and then...

Re: Garmin Nuvi 2465
I already mentioned that newer 1xxx, 2xxx and 3xxx series behave differently from the older 2xx, 3xx, 4xx, 5xx, 6xx, 7xx, 8xx series ..... For newer series, it offers you flexibility for multiple maps. All you need to do is put the Garmin format map into /map directory and rename the gmapsupp.img i...

Re: Garmin 1460 (multiple jcv maps)
Just discovered that /Map folder in the SD card works as well (so long as it is in the root directory i.e. at the same level as the /Garmin folder). I decided not to have any maps in the internal memory and moved all my maps to my 8GB SD card leaving only the JCV files and basemap in the Internal m...

Re: Nuvi 1460 (Memory inadequacy)

Here is my feedback to Garmin Corporate: The next update software should allow the 1460 to access maps through the USB to an external device such as a CDROM drive or an external SD adapter. This is critical - as more users are taking it to dri...
