thks for the responses. guess i will give up trying to get it to work with my holux gps - it was just a fun project anyway. the latest mfm maps work so i can still use it for browsing. for actual big screen navigation, i can still fall back on my ipad with papago although i hate the synthetic voice ...

I have got Garmin XT installed on my netbook. The prog launches fine. Prob is, it keeps looking for a Garmin bluetooth device and does not pick up my Holux bluetooth gps. Anyone has a solution or knows if i need to make any other settings? TIA

ver 6 is not an official Garmin product - apparently it is a hacked ver that originated in Russia to support newer Symbian devices

Wow! Looks like garmin just wants u to buy a new one. Wonder if the repair cost is the same or higher for more ex models like the 2465 or 3790

Wont say its frequent but it happens occassionally on my galaxy sl. I think my papago m8 for ipod touch is much more stable - never had a force close before

Garmin's naming convention sucks! Why is it that, overseas, the 2460 is 5" while here, the 2465 is only 4.3"? I hope they bring in the 5 incher; 4.3 is not much diff in size from the newer smartphones 5" nor 4.3" does not mean anything without MFM Garmin Maps. so please contribu...

I hope they bring in the 5 incher; 4.3 is not much diff in size from the newer smartphones I think this model has dual orientation display, so a 4.3" screen in portrait orientation can see more roads ahead than a 5" screen without dual orientation display. Yes, but the 5" 2460 model ...
