Re: Free Malaysia & Singapore GPS Map: MFM-Garmin 100906

Bro JJ007, that's an ideal scenario. Download a new map when you need it. The Monday download was supposed to be for contributors to check and verify any issues with the map. Then after a few days, the general public can download for their use. But the reality is that if you look at the data on the ...

Re: MFM Liability?

yes, I do have the same opinion, but my concern here that the mappers may also liable (perhap not 100% but still liable) If we go down this line, even contributors may be liable. :ko: Keep things simple, just MFM. Yes, I agree..... If we were a company, there could be someone who could be fi...

Re: MFM Liability?

I guess we need some views from legal eagles here. Personally, I think that we should not bother because if we really want to protect ourselves from every legal attack, we should probably not produce a map in the first place. I don't believe that Asians have reached the level of sue-crazy Americans ...

Re: MFM Liability?

Good point Bro Badrul =D> I believe that MFM is not liable to the customer because we have no customer. Ours is a free community map and you receive it out of your own free will. If you BOUGHT the map, then yes, I would say that we're under a duty of care to provide an accurate map that, if gives fa...

Re: Visiting Bangkok? Leave your GPS home....

Rajabalak,

I too have no problems routing within and outside Bangkok. I regularly rent a car when I visit Thailand and it has been a reliable tool.

Bro Silver, I like your choice of destination. Shopping straight to the Spa \:D/

Re: SOS PLEASE

You can also try this. It seems to happen with the 1350 and 1460. When you plug the unit into your usb port, it will usually start up and load maps. Immediately pull out the usb at the computer end. The unit will then say power lost, do you want it to remain on? Say no and it will power off. Stick t...

Re: Nuvi 1350 & nuvi 255w which one better

Well said ccwong =D> I have both. 1350 has a few pros over the 255w. Most significant is its new generation interface that's supposed to be more friendly. It also takes multiple maps which you can rename like thailand, indonesia, taiwan etc so it is easy to find using your computer. Bezel is interch...

Re: Famous Penang Ah Pong Stall

Ya. The good one is Ah Guan. If you're there on weekends, you can tell immediately. Ah Guan very busy, the other one busy chasing flies. :-({|= Dunno exactly when he opens but usually after my Char Kuay Teow fix, he is already open. Opens till evening but if you're there on weekends, better call to ...

Re: How many is enough?

Good guesses =D> Was testing the function of customised route. Too long to test individually so tested all at the same time. What was interesting was if you look at the current speed, some were different although all were on same software version. Anyway, the "surround sound" was very craz...
