Dear Ong, if I purchased my nüvi in Europe, can I still use these maps from the Garmin.com.sg site? Thx!

Yes for our MFM Garmin (cGPSmapper) map which is released weekly.
But only localized units can use the MFM Garmin NT map to take advantage of the JCV feature.

I think the response should be no.

If you did not buy the localised nuvi from the local distributor, than you won't be able to use the maps from the Garmin Singapore website since you need to get an unlock code by keying in you unit serial number.

But you can however use the map that we generate from using a 3rd party compiler. But that means no fancy stuff like lane assist or junction view. But this is compensate by the map being generate with the latest data available.

My Garmin 1450 is from US. Does that mean I'm doomed and will not be able to utilize MFM's junction view's map (Unless I go buy another unit locally)?

I do not have any problems with my unit. Unless problems reported are clear and not generalized, it is extremely difficult to understand where to start with for those of us that are prepared to facilitate. It is like going to a doctor and tell him you are sick.

There are specific issues like local purchase GPS will have JV and LA if the options exist in the product. That is clear. There is no buts to this issue. The conditions are specific and we have to live with it. i.e. do not expect JV and LA to exist in Navi 205 units that did not have the options in the first place.

Dear members,

We are pleased to announce that after many months of join development with Garmin Taiwan, MFM-Garmin NT map for Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei will be release on Garmin website soon. The current JCV pictures are from Garmin, we will work with Garmin to include our own JCV pictures in the near future.

The map will always be distributed for free. Thanks to all our mappers, contributors & members for the support!

:rox:

May I know if the map supports Garmin Asus smartphone, such as A10 or A50? thanks.

BTW, thanks to all those mappers, contributors and experts. Well Done. :)
