Hey anyone with a 1350sg/my, after the 2.50 firmware update, every time I startup it will ask me to choose the locale information? It's very annoying coz after choosing, all the language setting is different from what I wanted.

Hey all, found out why - because my unit was new and it never had a GPS lock before. I just left it outdoors and let me lock on the satellites for the first then the problem is fixed. It remembers my locale now.

And to make it more interesting, the default starting location for my sg/my unit is in the middle of the Singapore-Malaysia causeway - not sure whether this is the root cause, although I have already used a "Set Location" to KL, but the setting did not stick.

Thanks all.

well bro tlchuan,

i used to  when i thought no ecoroute function for garmin 255W but then it is an "app" that's good to have but not a necessity.....so i guess we owners of Nuvi 255W can do without.

say, have any 255W owners updated to the latest firmware? i haven't and i want to know whether anyone encountered any problem or not?

i updated my dad's nuvi 1460 and it's giving us problems!!

My Taiwan born 765 running well on firmware 2.8, itchy backside went to upgrade since now at 3.1 .... regret ... lost several English voices, restricted to just American English and American Jill  Lost British / Australian voices, Amarican Jack etc....

Lucky backup old install file and reverted back to 2.8 and all is fine .... wrote to Garmin Taiwan and they confirm new firmware only supports the above mentioned

What's the Logic ... newer firmware supports less voices ... ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Moral of story .. if it ain't broke, don't fix it ( unless it is a critical bug fix ) ....
