bro after i download 2.90 run the software ,after i using wedupdater now my software up to 4.70tw version i dy pening this model nuvi 2575r

better don't update using webupdater。

better download the software at http://www.garmin.com.sg if u are using local sg/my unit.
That link i post here is original software from http://www.garmin.com.sg

After u update the software to 4.80, if u still got not stable u can try hardreset your device 1 time.

If the problem also not solved, u try to downgrade to preview softwave v2.90.

Just bought Garmin2575R come with 2GB built-in memory. The updated software but cannot update City navigator Singapore/Malaysia NT from version 2011.20 version 2011.40 and Malsingmaps Malaysia/Singapore/Brunei NT Version 2011.30 to Version 2011.40. When I'm installing updated map, the system says that these map is only can be installed into Garmin unit NOT Micro SD card. The problem is the Garmin unit have not enough memory. When checked, total utilized memory is only 114MB. Meaning that it should have the memory balance of more than 1.5GB. It is more than enough to install these 2 updated maps. BUT computer showed that only 403MB memory available. How come this thing happen?

all u need to do is delete your old maps, before u do that remember to back up your old maps

How to delete the City navigator Singapore/Malaysia NT from version 2011.20 from becoz it is invisible? I thought we just update with the new version then the old version will be automatically overwritten.

The Garmin NT map is stored under map file name gmapprom.img inside a hidden directory /system in main memory.

Please backup everything before deleting anything before you regret when you want it back :-'

How to view that hidden directory? Sorry, asking this as I'm very new to this Garmin.

Bro din999, plug in your nuvi, then you have enable the view hidden files from windows explorer. Depending on what windows version you use.

Take for example win7, http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutoria ... windows-7/

Simulating on the 2575RLM

Postby bluknight » Mon Jun 11, 2012 3:15 pm

Hello, I've just upgraded from my trusty nuvi1460 by buying a 2575RLM for S$399 at the PC Show. Much better satellite lock altho I'll have little use for TV and Recorder. But here's my problem:
If want to simulate a route in another country all I do in the 1460 is to address the start point and then set location. The WhereTO will start the simulator in non-GPS navigation mode. But there is no such Set Location feature in the 2575! I could only turn off the GPS and simulate from WhereAmI to another location in the present country.

Anybody know whether it is possible in nuvi2575 to use a custom route simulation or trip planner simulation ?
EDIT June 12: FOUND THE ANSWER. Turn GPS off and simulator will be on. Goto remote location as addressed. Touch the editor ((black lined square on top left of device) and touch "Set Location"

Nowhere on the manual is this indicated clearly.
1460 Software2.50 GPS3.90 Basemap DEM NR 3.00 MalSing NT 2010.20 City Navigators NT 2010.10 AusNZ 2013.10 Europe NT2010.30 and NAmerica 2011.10 Also 2575RLM 2012 model
