Yes, I also never succeeded in getting the unit restart automatically after each update. Always have to force-off and then switch on again. Luckily this has not impeded the updating of the software so far.

Huh?

Which part of the instruction says "to send" from mapsource to your device?

The instructions says:
1. Create the route in Mapsource.
2. Save the route as a .gpx file (e.g. FollowthePinkPather.gpx) somewhere ON your computer.

Than you copy/move/transfer the file ON your computer to the SD card directory :\garmin\GPX.

Put the SD card back into your Nuvi.

Starts up your Nuvi. Go to Trip Planner and it should shows up.

Hi #ace

Actually the instruction is very clear and easy. I've tried it many times already. Create route, save as .gpx and copy to SD Card:\garmin\GPX.

Problem is in the last part which is the routes doesnt want to show up in Trip Planner.. Is there any other settings in the GPS itself? I'm able to load the MFM Maps from the same SD Card though..

using software version 3.80, gps firmware 2.60.

Hello bro misteeq,

The problem you faced is unique.
Unfortunately, as far as I know, we don't have to do anything to the device settings. It pretty much like what I mentioned in the steps.

Have you tried to move the gpx file to \map\GPX directory? The GPX file is only a small size file.

If you still couldn't make it appear, maybe other brothers with better technical knowledge can jump in to help...

Still couldnt make it appear in my Trip Planner.. I've tried to move the .gpx to \map\GPX directory.

Last Tuesday, I did email to Garmin Malaysia/AECO Technologies regarding this issue. Their respond as below :

Quote:
"For all new models such as the Nuvi 2465, you will not be able to plan your trip on Mapsource and transfer it to the device. You can only plan the trip on your device using the Trip Planner feature which is on the device"

But you guys here able to do it. And that makes me wonder. The main reason I bought this GPS is to use the custom route created in Mapsource and playback in the device. If I couldnt make it work, it'll be a waste..
