1. this device can run on mfm150427 map data?
its detected, but i search any prominent landmark like shopping centres, there's no results.
no issues with garmin msm/mfm though.
2. btw, its garmin mfm as updated as mfm150427?
3. also how can i import favourites to this device? i import them to the gpx folder, but it doesn't show.
favourites can only be deleted one by one? unlike older models that we can delete a few at one go?

I think it should be in the SD card GPX or POI folder.

Re: 42LM
I have a 40LM, not a 42LM but they should be similar.
Can't put any GPS files into the SD card; its only used for your personal songs, etc. The GPX folder is in the internal storage of the 42LM.
I can't remember how I transferred my favourites from my old Nuvi to the 40LM; I thought it was just a straight copy of the "current.gpx" from the old Nuvi to the 40LM. If this doesn't work then try the following procedure which worked when I did a favourites transfer onto my friends 55LM recently.
It is simply taking the current.gpx file from your old Nuvi, rename it to Temp.gpx, and transferring this to the new 42LM.

Re: 42LM
I did it using Mapsource.
Open the currrent.gpx in Mapsource and edit if necessary. Then transfer to GPS.
Hope this helps.
