Bro, 765 Sing/Mal 2.10 firmware is not as advanced as US/EU 3.60 or TWN 2.70, but I guess its just a matter of time. For custom POI, thanks to Johntan, the user can start to see some already in MFM v1.67  . You may wish to refer here viewtopic.php?f=11&t=618&start=500

I have installed malfreemaps version 1.68 to my nuvi 765 sing/mal version. Now can view more custom POI likes traffic lights. Then today I also realize that I can also view 3D building using malfreemaps in 3D mode :) .

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for Nuvi 765 set. Any good price & dealer in Singapore to recommend?

This website http://r-onetrading.com/index.php sell S$529 nett. while eastgear http://www.eastgear.com/store/garmin-nu ... p-324.html sell US$543.32. So, why price range more reasonable? Thanks in advance!

Hi Fast Five, firstly you need to determine whether the limit of Waypoints and Routes in Nuvi765 has been reached (max 1000 Waypoints/10 Routes in Nuvi7xx series). You can verify this by using Mapsource to receive "Waypoints" and "Routes" from Nuvi (while connected to PC). If this turns out to be true, you need to do some housekeeping by deleting some data in Nuvi765, at Tools > My Data.

If the above is not an issue, I'd recommend hard reset procedure. First of all, before performing hard reset, back up CURRENT.GPX from ..\Garmin\GPX folder. After successful reset, rename backed up CURRENT.GPX to TEMP.GPX and place it in ..\Garmin\GPX folder (same folder that contains CURRENT.GPX).

To perform hard reset (clear all user data), turn off Nuvi. Then press and hold lower right corner of Nuvi's screen, and while still holding the screen with your finger, turn on Nuvi, and continue to hold (the screen) further until you get the prompt to clear all user data, select Yes. Then Nuvi will boot like the first time you had it purchased.

Note: After hard resetting Nuvi, it's advisable to let Nuvi gather satellite data outdoors and stationary, until GPS fix is obtained.
I take everything in moderation, including moderation.

Finally Solve - Route Waypoint Memory Full on Nuvi 765

Postby fast five » Sun Aug 30, 2009 8:14 am

Hi dvpro,

Thanks you :prayer: for your solution and it is working fine now.

I had to perform hard reset on my device as my waypoint & route in the mapsource was not full at all.

Now everything in my device are back to brand new condition. LIKE THE FIRST TIME. O:)

When can I buy you coffee. :tq:
