No, you cannot rename it as gmapsupp2.img. Nuvi 7x5T will not detect it as a map file. Use the file names below.

gmapprom.img (Most probably the TWN original map. I think)
gmapprom1.img (Garmin Malsing maps are using this name)
gmapsupp.img (Most of the time, this one will be available to be used)
gmap3d.img (Original map's 3D building)
gmap3d1.img (You can named the Garmin's malsing 3D building map to this filename)

and few others.

But, before that, please check the filenames that had been being used in your nuvi first.

This is a new problem.

Did you did the master reset before and after the software flashing?
What will happen when you connect it to PC?

That would be the likely reason for such issue. If you have flashed to Taiwan firmware, before flashing to Sing/Mal firmware, you should revert to original Eu/US firmware first.

As a summary, first reflash to original firmware, you need to create an RGN based on the original GUPDATE.GCD. Then, verify everything is in order, including checking with Webupdater. And finally flash to Sing/Mal firmware.

Have you tried pressing screen around the center area while turning on Nuvi, and continue pressing, connect to PC, and only release when you see msg "Software Loading".

If Nuvi cannot boot at all, just connect to PC, Updater.exe should detect Nuvi.

Sorry to hear the yor unfortunate experience. Anyway, I'll try my best to guide you, and hope others also can assist me.

Now, can we try to troubleshoot the problem.
1) Did you tried with other PC or laptop?
2) Try with other USB cable?

If still face the problem, now, let;s put the NUVI into maintenance mode and check whether PC can 'see' it.
1) Switch on the Nuvi. Let's it go into main screen
2) Tap and hold the battery icons for about 7-10 seconds until the maintenance/diagnostic screen appears
3) Plug it to computer
4) Get the rgn 2.80 from http://mygarmin.4shared.com/
4b) or the rgn for v3.60 http://sites.google.com/site/bahathir/H ... edirects=0
5) Drag the rgn icon to updater.exe icon.
6) If the updater.exe can 'see' the nuvi, then try reflash it with the US or TWN rgn back. Then try again with the 765MYSG210 again
7) Pray...

Good Luck.

chongsm wrote:Managed to revert back to us360 fw using us rgn v3.60 from http://sites.google.com/site/bahathir/H ... edirects=0 as per instruction from bro dvpro. But it is still inaccessible as usb device is not found even at diagnostic mode. Maybe have to send back to shop.

USB Mass Storage is not activated while in diagnostic mode.

Can you verify at Computer Management > Disk Management, is there any disk not accounted for? If there is any (usually when you have map a network drive), you can simply change drive letter for it to be recognized. To start Computer Management, click Start > Run > type compmgmt.msc > OK.

Hi All..

just got this 765T a month ago... This is my first GPS device. It's EU version and firmware updated 3.60 (EU). Had been enjoying the standard features. It's bugging me when i can't see POI while navigating so i've done some searching, thread by thread... and finally comes into the firmware issues /difference between EU/US and TW.
Managed to reflash to 2.81 TW firmware just today, :) and now im testing it. I can see the POI now, although its still in standard icons...

please allow me to join this family :D
