This is what I have been able to gather on HWID. Please add or correct as necessary:

0660 - ???
0737 - ???
0754 - US
0760 - ???
0780 - Taiwan
0827 - US
0834 - ???
0835 - ???
0836 - Taiwan
0851 - ???
0870 - ???
0905 - ???
0930 - Singapore/Malaysia
0932 - Taiwan
0933 - Japan
0939 - Thailand


Thanks to Bro Moeyhc, following is how to obtain your HWID:

Open the GarminDevice.xml file in your Nuvi Garmin folder using any Internet browser.
Find these text - usually at the start of the listing.

<Model>
<PartNumber>006-B0932-00</PartNumber>
<SoftwareVersion>260</SoftwareVersion>
<Description>nüvi 205W</Description>
</Model>

The B0932 number listed at the PartNumber is the HWID, in this case it is 0932 for the Taiwan Nuvi 205W.

Yes updated. Didn't notice anything.

But I did a hard reset and removed the topo. My unit is better now. But too many variables at once to say which gave the improvement.

HWID : 0851 is also US set.

<Description>nüvi 205W</Description>

The B0932 number listed at the PartNumber is the HWID, in this case it is 0932 for the Taiwan Nuvi 205W.
