I've just got my 1460 yesterday, loaded with M2009.31 & M2009.40, seem like the old map will overlay the new map, just un-tick 1 of it. I've rename the MFM map- in the SD /map, every thing seem ok to me so far.

I also notice the base map(gmapbmap) had change to V3, compare to my old 205 with V2, the file is smaller so I replace my 205 with V3, working ok.

I'll post a feedback if found any error with MFM map.

somebody help ..i bought a 1460 no longer ago.
i notice that my MAP dont hv any POI icon....such as (Banks, traffic light etc...all) to show on my map.

and it also when use the map in half way it will hang , cannot move at all.
and also some old road the map is dint show out.

anyone help me ...........dont know i buy wrong or not ....sad

what Map u use and what ur software version??
maybe because u not update to the latest version...try update ur garmin with latest version

what Map u use and what ur software version??
maybe because u not update to the latest version...try update ur garmin with latest version



What latest version now the s'ware and map ? i really blur all for it ..........pls help...

mfm Garmin maps are released every Monday. The latest is: 091221 (yymmdd format)

Nuvi 1460

During navigation, the directional bar is located right in the middle of the screen; blocking the map as well as not able to perform function such as detour, volume and other tools adjustments. Anybody know how to fix this? Thanks.

Bro Andy Kwek, please post screen shot of your problem. Which version map are you using ?

All nuvi have similar interface.

During navigation, you are unable to do anything besides volume control for Nuvi 13xx. To adjust volume, press power button once.

And for the rest of the function such as stop, detour... you have to go back to main menu to do it.

hi all

just to share: garmin has release software v2.30 for Nuvi 1460 (localised units). among solving some minor issues, it also puts back the "calibration" button in "display" function.

as usual do back up your gpx file - meaning back up your favourites, as garmin's nuvi 1460 "engineering" has make it impossible to copy/backup any files within the gpx folder.

i put my customised mfm traffic POIs under a "POI" folder on a SD card and it works fine. the proximit alert and "extras" buttons appeared just fine. if you put "POI" folder under the "root directory", the proximity alert and extra features will not show up.

You have just equated the 1350 with the 1460 in your play-play. Why not re-calibrate the touch screen and see if it is more sensitive/accurate to your touch? Don't write off the Nuvi1460 so fast lah, you are frightening me 'cos I just ordered one and taking delivery today #-o

At any rate I will see if what you said is correct...... :prayer:
