nuvi 7x5 display is slow than nuvi 255W. I am not sure about that, but, to me, it is just nice. Aha... no wonder Garmin disabled or minimizing the POIs or details in 7x5 series and newer models... They already knew about the bugs, and don't have the efforts to solve it.

Thank you.

hi bahathir...i'm with u regarding the nuvi 765 display..i do like it and it's nice...so regarding the POIs...the MFM-CPOIs is superior :champ: then Garmin POIs.... :D

can i just delete the POIs?

You can delete the custom POIs but not those embedded into the map. Only mapper can do that.

](*,) what about - is there a option to disable POI?

In Nuvi, you can go to Custom POI and uncheck it.

Hi I got a 765 SgMy version, a week old. This might be a stupid question, sorry if it is.

From some of the threads, I can read that if u use MFM map, you get no junction view.

If you use MSM map, you get junction view.

Question: If I use disable MSM map to use MFM, and later on I want to use back MSM, will I lose the junction view with the MSM map? After reading all the tings that can go wrong, I really got phobia about changing anything on my Garmin.

Also, if I use MFM standard latest map, will the POI logos show on the 765?

Thanks!

No, the JCV is in your Garmin folder remember to use only malsingmaps malaysia singapore NT maps

if your tick MFM the POI logo will show and if you select malsingmaps will not

Thanks!

Seems got 3 meanings in one sentence, not sure how to interpret your answer.

No means I won't lose my JCV if I revert back to MSM after using MFM?

The JCV is in my Garmin folder and... ?

Remember to use MSM Mal/Sg NT maps... u mean I shud pick that when I want to see JCV? By the way what does NT stand for? (For Windows NT we used to say it stands for "never there." )

As long as you do not physically remove/modify anything in the folders, enabling / disabling the functions via the Nuvi menu will not result you losing any features.

1)The JCV is a img files that is located in the Garmin/JVC folder. and it has nothing to do with the maps u are using either malsingmaps or mfm maps. it only link to official Garmin City navigator Malaysian/singapore NT or Malsingmaps Malaysia/singapore NT.

2) Malsingmaps without the NT at behind will not work with JCV.

2)NT is stand for New Technology same as windows with better compression and smaller maps
