The JCV thing.... you only hear half the story... Garmin supply JCV local maps too. Google it!...but, be warn of the quality of the Garmin JCV map (comparatively speaking).

My preference is the Nuvi 255W. It is not the latest model but still a very good workhorse and it does not suffers from Garmin's restrictions of functions while using MfM maps. It is also very affordable @ <RM600.00

The newer model of Garmin do have better features but there are restrictions when using MfM Maps. Our experts here have so far overcome most of it... but there will come a time that this will halt. It is also fair to note that all these features can disappear from the Nuvi 2xx models if Garmin releases a new firmware to target these units. Hence, stop the firmware update if your GPS is working fine.....

Go for 255w mysg version it support JVC for malaysia maps

I own a 205W, and since flashing it for tracklogs to be saved on SD card, I have not upgraded the firmware ever since. I've had the opportunity to use the newer models, but, for tracking, I still prefer the 205W since it shows a lot more POIs.
