If you like your GPSr to talk... then its 1 of the con - to me it isn't
If you like a brand new model GPRs to work perfectly without a glitch... then it's a con - to me, I am willing to have it now and enjoy the improvement via s/w updates.

New firmware version 2.6
There is a new firmware version avaiable:
Changes made from version 2.50 to 2.60:
- Fixed issue that caused a shutdown during power on
- Added support for marine fishing, nautical, and off modes
- Added tide and current charts
- Added ability to access marine point information on the review page
- Made marine POIs available when panning the map
- Fixed issue when marking waypoints in the W Malayan RSO position format.
- Added GDA 94 datum.
- Added NAD 83 datum.
- Improved user interface for waypoint location editing
- Added 'Coordinates' option to the 'Where To?' menu
- Improved position accuracy calculation
- Improved static position accuracy

have you guys (oregon users) noticed that this model always take the 'weird' route instead of preferred route? faster time & shortest route mode still the same...It's annoying...
I've hardly use navigation mode nowadays on oregon unless its a long distance trip or to place that i've never been to...
