I got a 765 local set from Mxxxxx, it is about 4 months old now and i encounter the problem that the unit battery bar will drop very fast from 4 bars to 3 bars after full charged. So, i drain the battery and get it full charged again and checked on the diagnosis mode (wit the following settings : fm transmitter disable , bluetooth diable, use home garmin charger to charge for at least 4 to 6 hours and more). In the diagnosis mode, it will just show u 76% battery capacity, no matter how long u charged it (3 hrs, 4 hrs, 6 hrs or 8 hrs, all show the same), it would never show u 100% battery capacity even 99%. Then, after about 15 to 20 minutes, the battery bar will drop 1 bar, and in the diagnosis mode, it shown 51% battery capacity. (Pls see all 4 images attached).

I have no idea at all is it this is hardware problem, firmware problem or battery problem? Then i decided to send it back to the dealer for warranty. The next day, i received a call and i went to the outlet again and i was told that the unit got NOTHING wrong. When i ask how come it only can shown 76% battery capacity, then answer given is "IT IS LIKE THAT"! Or normally we always so call AS IT!

OMG, i CANT believe i hear that. After i express my dissatisfaction of the answer, then they say will sent it to AECO for further diagnose. Until today, already 2 weeks past, and i havent received any update from them.

Forumers, please let me know does your unit encounter any problem similar. TQ

As for battery charge % reading, suspect could be firmware related :-k

My Taiwan born Nuvi 765 with firmware 2.90 shows it charges to 100% when plug in to Lappy or Garmin mains charger or car charger .....

Hi all!!

Earlier, I posted the below entry (bold) at MFM CPOI thread. Now I'm posting it here which I think more relevant.

Hi there!!....Bro SoulHunterO2...it seems u r not the only one facing the problem..I do too experience the same problem.....I just got my Nuvi 765 today and installed MFM maps plus the POI...and I did a test from my workplace to my home...almost most of the POIs seem to be wrongly located...for example KFC TMN CONNAUGHT should be just near by of JLN CERDAS (I know because I have Nuvi 205) but on Nuvi 765 KFC TMN CONNAUGHT is located on the highway (EAST WEST LINK)!!!!!!

Is it due to the model or is it due to the firmware of nuvi 765...needs to know from all SIFUs here!!

Today, I did some experiments...I deleted all the .img files (fyi..i did a backup)...and install MFM-Garmin-100104 and MFM-CPOIv207...i started my jouney from Jln Masjid India and heading Carrefour Cheras in Jln Shelly. (by the way, POIs are visible if u zoom in 120m or 80m. like what the previous member said it is due nuvi 765 autozoom u might not see it untill u zoom in to 120m or 80m).

The instructions given were correct and perfect but like what I posted earlier in MFM-CPOI thread (above in bold)...the POIs seem like out of tune (am i use right term!!?? :-? ...almost (not all) POIs icons are located on the wrong place...what i mean is POIs icons are placed on the road/highway instead of beside the road/highway :-? :-?

anyone experience this...is it due to the nuvi 765 screen or is it due to the firmware (mine is 2.30) or is it due incompatiblity...like what i mentioned in my prevoius entry (MFM-CPOI)...I have nuvi 205 with latest MFM map and POIs. They are alright in nuvi 205

any experts or SIFUs could highlight on this matter

:tq:
