Activating Hidden 1-second Tracklog Function In Nuvi 2xx

OK. Stupid question. I think I successfully patched my 200W. Got the tracking log going, I think. There is a STOP button on screen and a small timer running when I start the recording. But when I tried to download the recorded tracks, I could not find the Garmin/Logs folder in my Nuvi. Should I manually create this folder or the updater.exe will automatically create for me?

Latest update. When I stopped the recording and go back to the "start recording"/"start playback" the "start playback" button is greyed out. I cannot press to playback...

What did I do wrong? I believe I did the patch correctly. My HWID is 835 and I downloaded the correct patch file.

You should find the Garmin\Logs folder automatically created in your Nuvi after you have stopped recording. The 'STOP' button is for you to stop recording. If you do not touch the 'STOP' button, a new recording will be automatically started the next time you switch on your Nuvi and log-on to the satellites.

Then you need the wnutrak.exe to convert the recorded tracks to gpx files that MapSource can read and save into gdb files.

The 'Start Recording' button is only active when you are logged-on to the satellites i.e. 'Ready to Navigate.'

Thank you for your response. I did about 20 minutes of recording on the road. Pressed the STOP button. Went home and connected to my PC but cannot find the Logs folder.

Did the patch again. Did about 10 minutes of recording. Pressed the STOP button and switched off the unit. Connected to my PC and still no Logs folder.

Will try again tomorrow.

I understand N2x5 can track, but, is there a similar patch to turn on the track "ON" / "OFF" and playback functions for N2x5 units?

Could it be that you are looking at the SD Card directory ?

look in this drive directory : Garmin/Log/Nav&Sat then convert with wnutrek to view the tracklog...kacang only
