Bro Chiet, without the details, consider it as a example of "Murphy's Law" in action

My 205w shows Mazda logo at startup cause it came with car. Is there any way to change this logo to normal startup logo?

Hi all, is the usb cable that came with the 205W different from the normal usb cable?
I can't seem to get connected to my PC.
It displays the error "USB cannot be recognized".
Please help, thanks in advance :)

Try changing USB cable.

Do not plug through external USB port extender, Plug direct into PC/Lappy port.

Use different USB port

What version Windows you using ? 98 upwards should be plug and play.

Hi silverbeauty,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I tried 3 different USB cables, I plugged in directly to my PC.
I tried various USB ports.
I'm using 64bit Windows 7 RC1, I wonder if it's because of the incompatibility with Windows 7?

I have a nuvi 205w with US firmware. However, the US firmware doesn't have keyboard for chinese input. May I know whether the Mal/Sin firmware has the pinyin keyboard for Chinese input? Or is there any alternative to install the chinese keyboard in my US unit?

Another thing is if I make a POI with chinese name and send it to the nuvi using mapsource, the chinese character can be displayed correctly. However, if I convert the POI to gpi file with POI loader, my nuvi will display the chinese character as ??? Any way to solve this problem?

You need to have a China / Taiwan firmware which support chinese characters.
