I got 1 problem only,direction sound sometime got littlebit lagging.sometimelah.....

Have anyone experience the set shutting down by itself when using the voice command function and as well as when you are playing around and exploring the functions available on the 2465?. ( sometimes it just shuts down and sometimes it rebooted itself.)

Was actually wondering if it's only me who has this issue? or is this normal for this to happen to this set?. Was told that this could be due to some bug in the firmware which affects other users as well. I have tried to search the forums but seems no one has feedback they have this issue.

Other then that, the set is working perfectly well.

i can confirm the shutting down behaviour during voice command. It shut down on me on few times during voice trials..perhaps in retaliation for cursing it

i've updated the software but i don't bother with the voice command anymore...cant stand having the whole car laughing at me

hi all, i just bought the 2465 for my sis and had been testing it on and off when free. of course, one of the features tested and tried was the voice command, - who can resist right?

i didn't have any problem with th pnd other than find by address and find by town function are not workable for malaysia. otherwise, fine with the volume and phrases used, could activate the voice command module. the unit had no trouble whatsoever detecting my voice. although my sis commented that she won't be speaking in such a loud voice - i wasn't speaking loudly i was just projecting my voice!

just wish that the voice command module and its resulting phrases are more wider/more variable in scope.

other than this..the ASR is just fine. just wish to share.

also hope to learn from other 2465 users' experience.

i have intermittent problem with 2465 shutting down also when it's on voice command.
Also i cant seem to delete the MSM map despite have remove the file from the \map folder.
And of course, cannot see POI.
Other than that, the gps signal is pretty strong. It can even detect from my ground floor (2 story link house).

Can you confirm that it does not exist in Main Memory

You got to remove polygons when running the MFM installer

No Maps are perfect. This is where user feedback is important to correct any errors.

Tks - my 2465 SG/MY is working again with "Exclude Polygons".
Use MFM own map generator rather than MapSource.
The roads are not disappearing anymore.

Have not tested the Simulation problem reported by RedStorm.

Question about Singapore Postal Code:

Can you use City NT to locate by postal code, it will then appear in "Recently Found";
then disable City NT and switch to MFM for the navigation?
Thinking of this as a workaround if MFM doesn't have the postal code, but I prefer its navi.

Does anyone have an MFM+2465 configuration that is working - no roads disappearing during nav?

Did you use MapSource to upload or MFM generator?

No. After the gmapsupp.img has been generated, I manually transfer it from my PC to the Map Folder in the SDCard.

Man, with all those comments(mostly negative), don't know if I made the right choice buy 2465. A friend will deliver to me tomorrow. Am prepare to face those issues with all the feedbacks in the earlier mail.

Jangan bimbang! 2465 is ok.

Masa generate maps hendak pilih Exclude polygon saja. Semasa view maps sesetengah icon tidak dapat display saja.
Semua Garmin nuvi New model pun sama.

Pagi tadi baru dapat. So far ok, belum 'test-drive' but during checking semua ok sementara ini. Wish me luck!
