Thanks.

However, there are several files in the download. There is a cfg82a4.cfg, OS82a4.img, boot82a4.bld, and a btl82a4.bld file. Do I just dump them in the root of the SD card and start up the unit?

How can I back up the existing firmware before I attempt to update it?

download and copy the system files into ur memory card (2gb or lower GB) then restart ur GPS wil do and follow the instruction. it will ask you to touch the calibration.

2 options :
1. http://myp2pcafei7.no-ip.org/zhen_wei_g ... FGo2CE.bld
download this, and put into ur sd card and restart ur GPS. then it will enter wince.

2.http://myp2pcafei7.no-ip.org/zhen_wei_g ... plorer.exe
set ur GPS path to this file (after copy to ur sd card) then it will enter wince.

to quit wince then u need to reset ur GPS. or click on the GPS on the desktop.

Map are free, MFM can't help you with the device software upgrade. Are you refering to map or device software ?

that is "Map update" not map software/program upgrade.

After u download the latest MFM-Papago map, just double click on the EXE file, and follow screen instruction.

just my 2 cents...
