I've registered myDashboard,
and I've downloaded Webuploaded.. Both has no updates available. That's why I wonder why the software version displayed on myDashboard and my Garmin set is different.. :-k

msibenn wrote:guys, i'm having problem with my 2465. after searching for an address or selecting a favorite and when i touch the 'Go!' button, 75% of the times it took more than 60 seconds before it starts to calculate. During this time the 2465 just freeze.

Anyone else experience this? I'm using MFM. Not sure if the same will happen if i use MSM as i don't use it.

Wondering if my 2465 is faulty? and should be send for service.

Any help/comment is most welcome.

Calculation taking a long time usually indicates a problem with the map - either some elements are not drawn to standard of a part of the map may be corrupted.

First thing to do is to download the map again then try again.

If the problem persists, change the map.

I don't have such issues with my 2465 - no matter which map I use.

ditto here.. no issues with msm, mfm, city map in my 2465 set too.

btw..I somehow found that the voice command (I change the activation phrase to 'Garmin') is quite useful for a newbie like me.. The thing is I have to talk slowly ie. VoooLumee, and concisely.. it makes no mistake and it is able to get me the intended action. Of course, like jasonlee mentioned, it is not good to have to say 'down' few pages to locate the place which i wanted to go.. Other than that I'm actually quite happy using it to adjust brightness and volume respectively..

Re: Where to put routes created in mapsource on nuvi 2465

OK, a friend had taught me this which I wish to share.

Using the usb cable, connect the nuvi 2465 to computer,
touch screen on usb mode,
1. On micro sd card, create directory "Garmin" & sub directory "GPX"
e.g. G: Garmin/GPX
2. Create route in mapsource & save as .gpx in a folder of your wish e.g "Routes".
e.g. D: Routes/JurongPoint_ParkwayCentre.gpx, AA.gpx, BB.gpx, CC.gpx, etc
3. Copy all the routes (file ending with .gpx) onto the micro sd card GPX folder
4. G: Garmin/GPX will now have many routes
e.g. JurongPoint_ParkwayCentre.gpx, AA.gpx, BB.gpx, CC.gpx, etc
5. Disconnect nuvi from computer
6. Switch on nuvi > Where To > Scroll down to Trip Planner,
Select Trip Planner, all the routes created in mapsource save as .gpx will be shown

hope this is useful.

after update to software version 3.40 + MFM-Garmin 111205.

Couldn't show POI in Bank/ATM.

press BANK POI in settings. the device shut down. :-?

Any idea is software issue or MFM? :-?
