just got my 2465.

can i transfer the routes that I have planned in mapsource to my 2465? So far I hav tried but mapsource only transfer the waypoints but not the pre-planned routes to my unit.

I'm using the 2565 and the above instructions does work.

Did you mixed up the procedures by any chance? If you follow the steps diligently, it should work.

In my case, it doesn't matter if the GPX folder in the SD card is in \Garmin or \Map.

still can't make it work..

i followed diligently. Just for info, what's the filesize of the .gpx file that u created at mapsource? Mine is about 150kb only. Is that the right filesize? I compared to those in the Garmin folder in the GPS, most of the .gpx file are about 2300++kb

What's the archive folder for in the gps? Garmin/GPX/Archive

I really would like to have custom routes rather than have an automated routes calculated by the GPS. If not, I think I'm gonna switch to another GPS unit.

Spent about 10 minutes with a friend's 2465 just now to load in last week's MFM map. The owner was complaining to no end about the embedded map so I placed the new map on an SD card, popped it in and tested to see if the map appears. Thought her how to navigate with it and hopefully she'll be happier now.

However, tried looking for a couple of items but did not find it in the short time. Can anyone help?

1. Where do you select navigation - ie shortest route or fastest time?
2. Where do you select avoidances - traffic, U-turn etc?

Sorry to ask here because I did not have the opportunity to spend more time with it nor have the chance to browse the manual. Just asking users first.

i have enabld the tracklog function in my new 2465 (which is working like a charm so far) . my question - eventhough i did not start tracking, whenever i connect my nuvi to mapsource & download the track, the unit seems to have tracked my latest journey. how do i stop it doing that? i only want it to track my journey ONLY when i want it to track. help...

See the tracking guides first, maybe can help u. All steps almost same.
