dvpro wrote:Hi james00, since CN Sing/Mal NT is named as GMAPPROM.IMG, and MSM NT is named as GMAPPROM1.IMG, have you tried using GMAPSUPP.IMG as the name for MFM map. I would not advise using GMAPOEM.IMG, because normally mapset using this name is unable to be disabled at Map Info.

thanks bro dvpro.
still got some problem, how come mine cannot show those Custom POI icons? and, the map will hang at the half way.

is it when i use MFM i should turn off MSM?

Bro james00, it is not advisable to enable maps of same region simultaneously. Disable one.

You have to choose which map suits your needs for navigation in a city.

Like using Windows and Mac software. Both OS but cannot run together.

Technically, Windows and OSX can run together, using Virtual Machine technology.

I discovered that the JCVs are still in memory even you change maps.
Basic steps.
1) Select Garmin NT maps
2) Do routing
3) Disable the Garmin map
4) Select MFM map.

But any recalculation will ruin your plan :fire:

Sometimes even did not detour but unit also recalculates, probably due to diff map (??).
Given up on this ....

Yes, the JCVs will disappear when recaculating or detour. The exercise is just a POC that the JCVs are reside in memory, and to be used for normal navigators. But still can use laa, if you strictly follow the route. :)

But now I found out that my unit just cannot be connected as usb device for assessing the internal memory; it powers up instead. Just wonder that is a firmware related or hardware problem. Any idea please. :nutz: :nutz:

I returned my 765 to shop and confirmed the problem was due to faulty usb terminal socket, i.e a pin was pushed back and broken likely by a faulty usb cable plug! I just got a new 765 as replacement. My sincere thanks to our kind members for their expert advise and suggestions rendered at that very moment!!

Great to hear that
