i followed diligently. Just for info, what's the filesize of the .gpx file that u created at mapsource? Mine is about 150kb only. Is that the right filesize? I compared to those in the Garmin folder in the GPS, most of the .gpx file are about 2300++kb

My filesize is just about 39kb for a route lasting less than an hour.

For the more than 2300++kb files, are you referring to those in the Garmin/GPX/Archive folder? Those that are numbered from 1 to about 30? If so they are the backup files of your trip logs...

botzz wrote:What's the archive folder for in the gps? Garmin/GPX/Archive

As refer to above, this are backup files of your trip logs collected by your Garmin GPSr. The files are large because one file contain many trip logs over many many days.......e.g. file 1 will be probably from Oct 25 to Nov 5, and file 2 will probably be from Oct 30 to Nov 9, depending on your driving history....

Every new file will start off with some old log files being chopped off.

Hello,

Just bought a 2465 MalSing. Firmware v2.60, software v2.8, maps installed malsing 2011.30, nt 2011.20. Problems: Touch screen not sensitive (sometimes need to press really hard). sometimes when pressing character on keyboard, the display show different character. This make it hard to spell your destination. Even it is difficult to pick the map selection. Have done recalibration but problem still exist. What do I need to do. Please advice. Thanks

But seller said that this model required that you need to use your finger nail or pen to make the selection on the screen. Is this the NORM. This is an Aeco set.

tell him that is nonsense...i'm using one.. and I definately have no nails that is sharp enough to poke the selection icon on the screen! Morever, I have laid a screen protector on top, and still it is sensitive by using a fingertips...

Guys, been eyeing on this Garmin Nuvi 2465 for quite some time. Currently using Papago X5 on my SGS2, which is a battery hungry and the most annoying part is the voice navigation is worst compare to my previous Nokia C5 Garmin Mobile XT....

Just to confirm few things here before I finalise my purchase of this unit.

1. Those preloaded maps that comes with this unit, does it has the Speed Trap alert like the one I'm using now in my Papago X5, btw I'm using MFM map for my X5.

2. The Speed Trap alert is mainly depends on the map or the device itself?

Ok, finally whats the current selling price for this the ORIGINAL AECO warranty unit?

Thanks and hope experts here can advice me...

the speed traps alert i think is depends on the maps compile by mapper.
The custom pois alerts is build at custom pois. Example: sharp bends , police speed traps.

about RM600

If aeco set got Aeco Sticker behind the device.
Boot blx , x-loader & system is B1327-00

how to check? tab battery icon for 10sec - choose next - choose start test - choose more

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry to ask the following question, but I need to confirm that does MFM Garmin maps support Junction View, Lane Assist and 3D building for the Garmin Nuvi 2465?

If I want to install the Custom POI from MFM for garmin, which format is more suitable for Garmin Nuvi 2465, WMA or MP3 format?

I have gone through this thread, but still have no idea what is the MSM NT, Garmin NT and MFM NT maps are? Whats the different between those NT and non NT maps?

Tqvm....
