Strange is that using other maps I have only encounter this kind of issue once. Using MFM purely, I have encountered more than 2 handful of times within past 3 months.

SING/MAL units don't have ecoRoute feature. Maybe you would like to feedback to Garmin on this. Either they have not release the firmware for it, or it's a typo.

Firmware change? You mean you upgrade?

Why pay more to the local distributor units when you can get a set from amazon.com and convert it to local firmware at only half the price!
Best of all is that the pre-loaded maps that comes with the PI set inside are still usable!

Visit http://nuvi255wfirmware.blogspot.com to flash your 255W / 265W garmin nuvi to sg/my firmware so that you are able to use the junction view features & MSM maps!

Lets Stop being the carrot head and being chop by the blood sucker local distributor!
Which their service are not even worth the $$ and talk about!

4gb Sd Card..Is it compatible with Nuvi 205W?

Postby skylab » Thu Jun 25, 2009 8:51 am

Hello and good day to all MFM sifoos & members.

I am glad to inform you that I am a newbie here. I am currently residing in Klang, Selangor and just have my Nuvi 205W on the 15 June 2009.

My Nuvi is equipped with MSM NT2009.3B & city navigator NTv4.03 (sgp_mys_nt_ta200809_jcv)

Anyhow, I found that my brother's gps is using MFM map which I found much better in terms of Map & POIs and I am thinking of adding MFM maps to my Nuvi.

Instead of buying a 2GB SD card, can I load a 4GB SD card to my Nuvi? Can Nuvi handle the 4GB SD card?

Your kind assistance in answering the question above is greatly appreciated.

Regard,
Skylab

Hi skylab,

Welcome to MFM, I tested it before too bad it can't read 4GB, as for 2GB no problem... Cheers

Strange, I tried with a 8gb SDHC b4 and it works but I found it so wasteful!
