I have Q4331i , i wanna ask if i am able to play music while i'm running Papago GPS software because i have put all my favorite songs in the SD memory and i can't listen to them while i'm navigating

Hi all,

Recently, my WayWay q4331i is also taking very long time to lock into satellite signal on its start-ups.
(either in-car or open-air, even my nokia5880 locks quicker than the q4331i.. )

When i first got the unit during this April's pc-fair, it took (longest) 2minutes+ to lock into satellite.

NOW, it took like 10 minutes to lock the signal... quite frustrating...

Just want to ask experienced user here if we need to do a hard-reset on the device itself ?
if yes, how to do it?
if no, is there any way to overcome this 'slowness' ??

Now why Wayway didn't include hotfix with the latest SiRF Atlas IV with superfast speeds of 500MHZ? Don't think hotfix is a patented Garmin feature.

It's by design limitation, IINM your Nuvi is using the old Sirf III chip but with InstantFix. Meanwhile, WayWay & PapaGO uses newer Sirf Atlas IV (kinda level entry) chip but minus the InstanFix. Sirf Star IV (medium) comes with InstanFix. Satellite data will downloaded/updated by the InstantFix everytime it gets a lock-on but is only useable for 7 days. Meaning, your WayWay will get a faster fix compare to your Nuvi if your Nuvi have not been turn on for 7 days.

Where are you located ? In Sin, try East Gear or Allbright

Hi Mate,

I've just bought my Q4331 yesterday and I'm confused about everything inside the GPS. Hope you guys can help me to clarify the listed item below:

1. In the GPS, I saw my software version is Papago x5.2 and the map is malfreemaps.com 100415. May I know w hat is the different between them?

2. If i were to update the map, may I know is the map will be shown under software version or map switch?

3. Where to download the latest map? Kindly share the link.

4. May I know what is the map version that is supported by Wayway Q4331? The reason that I'm asking this is because I saw there is a MFM for Garmin and I love the interface a lot. Hope to have this in my Wayway Q4331. Please advice.

5. May I know how often do I need to update my map?

6. Once I have downloaded the map, may I know how to install the map in Wayway Q4331? Kindly share the steps.
