On the contrary, uncheck all or those that you don't immediately need (subject to where you are moving about) and leave the checkbox "ticked" regarding MFM maps which was my recommendation. :-$

thanks again for the advice. found out the hardway just now. my unit cannot even boot up to the main screen after I inserted Taiwan map. :-?

I don't know about Nuvi 3790 but in my Nuvi 1460 conflict will occur if I thick both MSM NT 2010.40 & MFM maps.
These 2 maps will running together, it overlap, you cannot notice this thing unless you zoom in until maximum, you can see the road overlap and... you can see the JCV! (as discuss in viewtopic.php?f=13&t=9693)

But in that case, MSM NT 2010.40 running even it not selected. ](*,)

This translates to corrupted map thus unit "hangs" ( continuous loop trying to load corrupted map )

Try a hard reset by doing the below mentioned :

1. Start with the unit turned OFF and unplugged from power ( Unit MUST be turn off and not in standby mode , if not off press and continue to hold power button )
2. Power ON the device
3. When the copyright screen appears press and hold the lower right hand corner of the touchscreen
4. Remove your finger from the touchscreen when a message appears that says Erase all user data?
5. Touch YES

Thanks for all the advice again. Managed to done the hard reset. Unit back are able to boot to the main screen also able to read the SD card MFM-Garmin-110207 map.

At first my GPS cannot detect sat signal tried almost half an hrs. Still no luck, so I turn it off for 2 hrs. Than restart again. After 30min. it able to search for sat signal but has only 3 bar strength. But after a while it gain up to 4 bar. Until now the maximum signal it can get are just 4bar?

I now have another issue is all those voice alert turning point not announce anymore?

I did used the speaking street names feature, last time from far the voice alert will trigger and when reached closer it will voice out again and again but now only once. reach reached the turning point, no more alert? anyway just created the new MFM-Garmin 110214 file. hope it will be better.

:-$ It appears that U R approaching closer and better too but by then, with clear view in sight... this unit of yours has some pranks as well to go silent for some odd reasons or so... try selecting a male voice (with a cheekopek attitude) and then see how he echoes out when you next reach yr destination but stop short with a WaWa in plain view in front of your vehicle... and hear if there is an exclaim voice outburst!!! =P~

Hope someone can help shed some light. Cheers...

I'm still facing annoucement problems. only the start up alert trigger. the normal voice alert to turn in are not working anymore. I think it doesn't work well with 3790 unit. have to send back to the shop to revert back to original file.
