hi sakura

thanks for sharing.

have you encounter any problem with this v2.70 firmware update for nuvi 1460? i'm being cautious and lurking around to see whether 1460 users encounter any problem before i upload this new firmware update.

Problem? Only one, with v2.70 I have found it will takes longer to receive the signal compared to v2.50.

Have you tried clearing all user data after the update?

Yes, I did hard reset after update to v2.70.
Accuracy down to 5-8 meters, normally 3-5 meters in v2.50 (at same place/location).

Re: Nuvi 1460 'hangs' during POI search

Yes. It happens to the 1xxx series quite regularly. When creating GMAPSUPP, try selecting "excluse coloured polygons". It helps a bit.

yes, it does happen to my 1460 as well. Quite irritating when i'm in a rush and have to wait for it to come back to live to calculate the route.

You do not update the firmware of a localized unit using Webupdater, but instead using the update installer available from Garmin Sg site: http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/site/s ... areUpdate/

Just updated to v2.7.
The verbal directions seem to be less now. It dosen't give the usual in 750m turn...and also no indication of distance to the next turn. How to revert to previous ver? I have done hard reset.
