Try Malsing maps, don't help.

Try your method, change values in GarminDevice.xml and update also don't work.

The value between <major> and </major> is 3, and value between <minor> and </minor> is 82.

Both value had changed to 0, saved and after updated using wedupdater the values revert to 3 and 82 again.

Attached herewith the GarminDevice.xml and system.xml for your information which may help.

...

The values that you should edit is this one:

Code: Select all

- <UpdateFile>
<PartNumber>006-D1074-00</PartNumber>
- <Version>
<Major>6</Major>
<Minor>0</Minor>
</Version>
<Path>Garmin</Path>
<FileName>gmaptz.img</FileName>
</UpdateFile>

Not this one:

Code: Select all

- <UpdateFile>
<PartNumber>006-B0795-00</PartNumber>
- <Version>
<Major>3</Major>
<Minor>82</Minor>
</Version>
<Path>Garmin</Path>
<FileName>gupdate.GCD</FileName>
</UpdateFile>

Bro dvpro,

Changed the value from 6 to 0 between <Major></Major>, run wedupdater, no update is available since the firmware is the latest.
Check in PC the value had changed, but after unplug and on the unit still not roads.
Check in PC again the value revert back to 6.
I had tried several times but it's reverting back to 6.
Please help how to change the value permanently.

Thanks

After the firmware update, wasn't there any Time Zone update listed along the text file update?

Bro dvpro,

Yes, I had tried update "Time Zone", when update completed unplug, switch on the value revert back to 6.
Had tried update Germany language, after updated, the value revert back to 6.
It seem the value cannot be changed after unplug from PC.

Thanks

If the update is successful the value will not remain 0.

So that did not resolve your problem. Anyway, are there any other maps installed other than the MFM map and the DEM basemap?

Bro dvpro,

Try several times, problem can not be resolve.
Having Navigasi Indonesian map and China Eng. map in micro sd card, even remove the micro sd card and run the edit, save and webupdater also can not resolve the problem.

Prior to update "Time Zone Map" everything work fine, it is possible due to "Time Zone Map"?

Thanks

Bro dvpro,

The unit can record tracks and do navigation, it works as normal but don't show ROADS.
Navigation have to key in coordinates, POI or waypoints and tried this yesterday to Semenyih.

Thanks
