I just bought 2565lm too but it'll just fail to aquire satellite signals as if hang prematurely, especially after coming out from kpe or with surrounding tall buildings like at raffles place. There is no such problem with my old 1460, which linked up to signals in a few seconds after losing them. I've tried the on/off method & changing the set with navicom but the result is the same.

Does anyone faces the same problem? I suspect garmin maybe using a less sensitive gps receiver now than before, no?

Any guide or advice is appreciated, thanks!

I do encounter hang at time. During the hang, when I power down the set, the set will not be able to power up immediately. Have to wait for a while before it can be power up again. I think it could be the software problem.

Another problem is the 'View turn icon'. The 'view turn icon' will not appear if only MFM map weekly update version is selected. No issue if maps are from Garmin is selected. Not sure what's is the problem.

Question... Can the garmin travel guide copied to external memory card instead on internal memory card?

Sometime my Garmin Nuvi 2565LM "hang" during travel especially for long journey..

I used the original pre-install MFM maps 2012.10

Is it normal or something go wrong?

Nuvi 2575RLM

It has been several years since I last owned a Nuvi, so yesterday I went to Challenger to pick up a Nuvi 2575RLM. When I reached home and went to the Garmin website to register, etc, I noticed this model is still not in Garmin's product lineup. Maybe it is a model specific to SE Asia. In any case I picked up the following from the Garmin Sg site:

http://www.garmin.com.sg/products/onthe ... rlm_sg_my/

Now in the process of setting up and relearning Nuvi again. Still very much a Garmin fan!

Welcome to the Nuvi team

Nuvi 2575RLM is just a 2575R repackage with Life Time map update
