What's the problem? It's only a one time setup. :-k

It is not a problem at all. It's just takes a much longer time to get the REC button on screen. When compared to the 205W via the 'Where am I?' page, getting to the Diagnostic Page on the 2575 takes at least 6 seconds longer...

205W: 6 screen taps before the REC button appears. Press STOP and you return to Navigation Screen.
2575: 7 screen taps, but 3rd tap (actually a 'hold') is about 6 seconds long. Press STOP and you return to Diagnostic Page. Long 'Back' press (another 'hold') returns to the Main Screen, not Navigation Page.

I can live with the wastage of 6 sec..  Since we waste more time in traffic jams and traffic stops and what have not..

My problem is different.....

I've noticed that the timestamp on the 1 sec logging is different from the trip log.....

Maybe you get take a look at it....

It is not a big deal since the logging is used only to draw the maps....but I'm just curious how to resolve this.

Tomorrow, I'll take the 2575 for a ride. I've tried most 'new' features now including camera and 1-s tracking (and TV too  ), but not started using the voice command yet.

In terms of visible POIs while navigating, it shows more than the G60 and A10, and maybe about the same as the 205W. Not tried the cPOIs either (MAV or MP3?).

I have logged my tracks this morning using the 2575RLM. One set is from the TripLog (ie Current.gpx) , while the other is from the 1-second log via Diagnostic Page (20120324_022453.gpx).
Trip-Track.jpg

Observations: (see picture below)
1. TripLog only logs at 1-second interval when there's change in direction. See RED and BLUE 'vertical' box.
2. The timestamp difference is exactly 8 hours, because we are at UTC=8. See vertical BLACK box intersect with respective RED / BLUE horizontal box. TripLog records using local time.

bro purpleray,

When you set-up, can you confirm this for me? Does the battery indicator on the 2575 show 'charging' when you plug in the 240VAC-miniUSB to the cradle?

I've tried using the 'spare' cradle but the result was the same... not charging.
I need to know, because now I cannot run the camera. Message says: 'Please connect power cable which output is 2A to start driving recorder'. ](*,) ](*,) BTW, If I plug direct to the 2575 using the microUSB, it will charge.

I have a bad feeling....

Bro zamad,

Both the AC and Car charger charges the unit via the cradle (a lighting sign in the battery icon indicates charging) and a RED video cam icon appears to the left of the Battery icon. Touching the video cam icon starts video recording.

The charger mini USB connector ID pin is connected to the +5V via a 17K Ohm resistor. This is how the 2575 knows what charger is used. Both my unit (AC & DC) measured around 17.2K Ohm.

Good luck bro... cheers!
