The 60CSx has a built-in barometric altimeter. That means it takes its altitude reading by measuring air pressure. Therefore, just to add that if you take the trouble of going to sea level to calibrate as 0 meter, then you must remember to turn off auto-calibration. Otherwise 15 minutes later (if I remember correctly), it will auto-calibrate its barometric altimeter using the inaccurate GPS reading, and all your effort of going to the sea level will be wiped out. Also, bear in mind that air pressure also changes according to weather, so after doing your sea level calibration, it will only be accurate for a short while, as there is bound to be air pressure changes throughout the day.

That is why I prefer to use the 60Cx instead of the 60CSx. Then at least I know that my altitude is accurate to about 30metres (I think that is the limit of GPS measured altitude for our consumer receivers).

FrancisTLim.

Bro Myin,

Congratulations on your new toy. Hope you will like it very much. To me, it is still my constant tracking companion. Very easy to use and to mark waypoints.

Furthermore, the Transformer are using it. Also, Katheryn Bigelow borrowed one from Bro Keong for her low budget Oscar-winning movie, The Hurt Locker. No wonder it is a low budget movie if she has to borrow from our MFM bro.

Heard that she is not returning the 60 CSx yet as she is making a sequel, the yet-to-be named, The XXXX Locker. After that, another pre-quel, The XXXXX Locker. Sorry, Bro Keong, KB is not returning your 60 CSx or maybe it got bombed in Iraq.
