one other concern is the slow search speed for destination, took more than 10 seconds with all the 3 default installed maps
selected.

possible to add in more maps eg Malfree maps ?

when the sales girl at Navicom was doing demo on at PC Show, she unchecked the City Navigator NT maps, didnt notice the slow speed at the time.

765 comes with ecoRoute... cool... Finally a localized set with ecoRoute feature.

Depends on what are the map files on your 765. If there is no gmapsupp.img on it, then just install MFM map (current is 1.61) and copy the gmapsupp.img into the \Garmin folder on ur 765.

close to Amazon.com price of US$338 X 1.44 USD -> SGD 487 + 50 via Vpost = $537
comes with home ac charger + car dashboard friction mat. sales staff says maps will be updated every 2-3 mths

This is a very good deal. AC charger ~USD16.50, dashboard friction mount ~USD24.00.
How come the price matches US price so close?
And seems like they would need to drive 255W's price low ..

I guess it's trying to capture market share and cornering parallel importers.
Isn't it great that localized set is now more competitive?

The price could be a launch promo price too.

Just got a set for my wife from Perfect Watch with the same package as that offered in the PC Show. The unit is supplied by Allbright.

Bahathir, the following default settings were in my brand new unit:
Software: Version 2
GPS: Ver 2.8
DSP: Ver 2.4
Text: Ver 2.0 (American English)
Voice: Ver 1.6 (British English Daniel)

Had to turn off the custom POI voice prompts. When driving in the CBD and its fringe, it was really distracting with the unit constantly warning about red light cameras and ERP gantries with the hours of operation for the week.

Am debating whether I should dump my old Oz 310 (bluetooth kaput) and switch to the Papago system for myself. For overseas travel, I still use my (now) old 660.

I now have a 310 with a spoilt bluetooth, and a 360 without a working speaker. Sigh. No guts to try breaking into the sets to pull out the speaker in the 310 to install in the 360.

Cheers.

Bro coolerbok, PM bro GPSsin and see if he can help you to fix your broken unit by cannibalizing one unit to fix the other ...
