For third party's map, I have to say sorry to you. Basically, those their parties will find their own map compiler for building Garmin-format map. However, since we applied a high resolution display and improved our map drawing algorithm for nuvi37xx series, we may not be able to guarantee all of their maps are compatible with our new models. If it is necessary, please kindly ask this user to purchase the maps we officially released for each region. Highly appreciate your understanding.

Actually I noticed the same problem with the Garmin Europe map. Not as bad as our MFM map... but still... I guess they themselves have some issues to deal with too...

Just do not understand, why they wanna to do this ??!! :ko: :nutz:

When the so called "Official Map" can't full fill the users, and there is a community map can satisfy this group of users PLUS it's FREE...

And, this "Unofficial Map" will not affect your sales figure, BUT indirectly heping booming the sales... :$gone:

:-k Time to wake up ?

Had notice that lately, the 3790T will navigate us through the entire length of Kallang / Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) expressway tunnel ( almost 3km) without the error " lost satellite signal". Looking at the situation, my guess is the GPS is tracking via vehicle speed through software. The satellite signal bars shows zero signal strength. If speed drops below a certain level, the error lost satellite signal appears.

Just as usual, Garmin is using new buyers as guinea pigs to test their units which have not been properly tested before launch. And using firmware fixes to correct their own deficiencies.

I have learnt my lessons since NUVI1460 and will wait for everything to get sorted out before I spend my good money for bad rubbish again. I am still waiting for some more corrections since their NUVI 1460 ver 2.70 update, some issues not even solved yet.....

When the set become good then maybe I buy... but if they make their sets not able to use 3rd party maps, then I don't buy

Patience...

The trouble is that Garmin city Navigator maps for Malaysia/Singapore is not as up todate as MFM, asking us to pay for a map that we know is not up to date??? Must be joking! This is withholding progress lah!

1460 is a 1 yr plus old model already, still having problem with map sets from this forum?

which models are user friendly with the map sets we have here. I agree that map sets from official site are always slower in updates

some of these electronic devices are designed to be smarter each time. Just like MS software, trying hard to weed out pirated versions.
