after all the new map was downloaded and installed. but i found that, there are a lot of useless in the map function. whatever a small road also cannot found. trouble at all, better using the old map MFM.

Wait time to search by eye (while driving).

Hope that got any solution at this.

Bro. What does this mean?

MFM maps will replace the other map in the download page?
How often will there be new official maps for download?
Does it change anything in our own download page?

Good news all the same.

Bro cjsunny,

We know that the MfM POIs are not fully loaded into this Version 1 map. Do understand that there are differences between our CGPSmapper data format with the original Garmin compiler and it takes time to make them fully compatible.

Labeling it useless does not do justice to our Mappers who had done all the hard work to even make this happen... On the contrary, you can help by feeding back on the problems encountered to help make this map better. Stop whining and starts contributing... Thanks.

there are 2 ways i know

one is to install using the exe file
and after finished copy the gmapsupp.img and the gmapsupp.unl in the ".system" folder to the appropriate SD card location (SD:/Garmin). To view this ".System" folder change the folder option > view tab > select "Show hidden Files, Folders and Drives > and untick "Hide protected Operating System Files (Recommended)"

you can change this options back to previous after you are finished

another is to unpack the exe file with applications like Winrar
go to map data, and copy the gmapsupp.img and the JCV folder to the appropriate locations
but this require you to create an unlock file by using the notepad
get the unlock code from the DL page and paste on a new notepad
save the file as "gmapsupp.unl"
(2 ACHTUNG!!! here,
#1- the name of the unlock code is same as the ".img" file. If you rename the generic name to, let say "MFM NT 201210.img" then the unl file is "MFM NT 201210.unl".
#2- Save the unlock as .unl file and not xxxxx.unl.txt, which can happens. To see the ".txt" or ".unl" you have to change it in Folder option. In the view tab, untick the "Hide extensions of known File types". After thi ou can directly rename the extension types.

I have started using the new mfm map for 2 weeks. Really amazing to see the junction view in mfm. MFM is the only map that I can count for.

Been a long time since I have visit MFM.......my Nuvi 670 ( Dino age ) still works fine but needs an update.

Tried going to http://www.garmin.com.sg/mapupdate/ but they are asking for a unlock code which I cannot generate because my 670 was purchased from Ebay.

How do I go about doing an update for my DinoNuvi670 ?

Please advise.

Thanks
