hijack this thread.

me actively using a 255w now. like the way it works, showing all the CPOIs etc

thinking of getting a newer model, but concerned if newer models can work just like the older models, display all the CPOIs as i am aware some newer models do not support this.

can anyone recommend?

Anyone has comment on the Papago device. Say H5600 or R6300T?
It seems that Papago has better navigation due to its 3D routing, junction view & lane assist.

While Garmin has better GUI, more sensitive & fast response touch screen. It's sat locking & booting is faster compared to Papago. Junction view in Garmin is limited to some locations only.

I will not be attracted by the bells and whistle some in some of them. Remember as driver, you are to keep your eyes on the road and not the GPS. It has become a serious issue in some EU countries, that is why some models have to remove the distractions and keep to basic road only for driver safety.

If you are travelling at high speed you have very little time to make decision especially sudden emergency issues. More so when you are travelling in unfamiliar roads and that is the reason why you are using the GPS for guidance.

I will stick with Garmin. As bonus, you can load other city/country maps (fully routeable with POI) in the world - not hacked onto the GPS from sources like OS Maps. Those maps may not be 100% all there but sufficient to get you around.

It is a bit more expensive no doubt but last on my list is, to find out the GPS I have with me when I land on a new place cannot route due to zone problems and other licencing issues.
