Hey, did you get any solution yet??? I've seen this post many days ago and didn't reply since it's not may area.

I don't know about garmin, but in papago, you can find a "Map" folder in "SD-->Navi " . There you can delete the unwanted maps.

try to find whether there is anything like that in Garmin. or search in the google. There must be a comment by the others some ware in the world. I've asked the same question about papago and waited for days to answer and since the replies are delaying, i did google search and found this solution. after many days only i got the answer form the site.
cheers.

maybe u can try in folder E:/.System...

The City Navigator map is .System\gmapprom.img
The MSM map is .System\gmapprom1.img
Garmin nüvi® 2465 SG/MY
Garmin Mobile XT on Nokia 3310 flash ROM with Symbian S60 ..

The safest way is to know what maps are in your GPS. The maps file in the main memory are named the conventional way using Garmin map name such as Gmapsupp.img, Gmapprom.img, Gmapprom1.img...etc. The be sure you got the correct map for deletion you need a tool called Gmaptool.exe. Use it to identify the MfM NT 2012.10 map.

I may be wrong.... for the 1350 the MfM NT 2012.10 should be in .System\map folder with a filename of gmapsupp.img. The JCV file can be found in the JCV folder with filename. SgMyMFM.JCV

Hope this helps... or you can join our NPM GG to learn more...

Hi,

SilantRa was right. Thanks a lot.
I did house-keep my Nuvi 1350 by removing both old Malsingmaps and City Navigator Singapore/Malaysia maps as below;

Malsingmaps

Code: Select all

System\gmapprom1.img
System\gmapprom1.sum
System\gmapprom1.unl
System\JCV\SgMyMal.JCV

City Navigator Singapore/Malaysia

Code: Select all

.System\gmapprom.img
.System\gmapprom.sum
.System\JCV\SgMyTA.JCV

and keep only MFM map

Code: Select all

map\gmapsupp.img
map\gmapsupp.unl
.System\JCV\SgMyMfre.JCV

thanx for the tips in this thread. I manage to delete the old city navigator files which keep bugging me due to outdated maps. Now only MFM remains. Thanx again. :)
