In diag mode I plug in a normal usb cable. It states power source as EXT but there is no batt current figure. I unplug n plug back also the same. Then I changed to the garmin cable and the batt current shows some figure.
I'm wondering why such a well known brand can come out with something like this

Hmm...I was able to charge using normal cable today, wonder what happened the last 2 times :-? :-?
Went into diag mode plug in cable n batt current shows some figure not like the last time. :ko:
3.5 hrs to charge from 60% to done.

Hi there,

does it effect the performance (or really matter), whether we use SanDisk or Kingston microSD ?

SD card speed does not really effect performance as when booted up, map loads into main memory after that is run off it.

Bro SilverBeauty is right. In the GPS, the SD card is only read from and not written to thus the brand or speed does not really matter as long as it can be read. If you are using it in a digital camera then it is different. A faster card will allow the images to be saved into the card faster thus emptying the cache or buffer faster for the camera to be ready for the next shot sooner.

i actually "junked" the manual from garmin - it is so brief! i actually created another easy reference guide for my dad to use his nuvi 1460, categorised by function. of course i got my inspirations from the many sifus here who created beautiful easy-to-understand and self-explanatory help sheets and guides for us.

I found this which might be helpful...........

Can Nuvi 1460 do 1 sec tracking? If yes, can show me how to activate?
