My Taiwan born 765 also has this issue but I can live without it.

The purpose of GPS is to get you from point A to point B.

Viewing POI is a bonus .... If you die die must see, then only Garmin compiler maps can offer it ... for now ..... :(

The nuvifone G60 also does not display custom POI while navigating. When in 'viewing' mode, ALL POIs are visible. In 'navigating' mode, only 'standard' POIs and Favorite POIs are visible. For the time being, I'll have to live with it.

I owned a Nuvi 1460 with MFM map. according to the spec. POIs should be visible during navigation in 3D and 2D.
However, I can't see the POI while I am driving. [-X
May I know how to make the POI visible while navigating. \:D/

GARMIN corp. reply:

Due to the performance issue, if we display the custom POI icons in navigating map page, the map drawing will be very slow. Therefore, we only show the custom POI icons in map browse page. Please understand about this.

Ask them to have a option to turn off the auto zoom function

I second this suggestion. Sometimes autozoom can be a pain .... ](*,)
