Hi Bro

The /map subfolder err.. folder, is already there when i bought the unit. So its natural for me to assume it is a default one. And yes, it is located in the root directory. So all of my maps are located correctly, i presume?

As for the hidden /.system, yes for a newbie like me, dun play play because they are set to be hidden for a reason. I certainly dont know nuts how the nuvi works, much like computers system file, i usually leave them be. I note that in your earlier post, you deleted a ***prom.img? And replaced it with some other img file? Maybe this has something to do with my set behaving differently?

Will tinker more when my job here in sandakan is done and will post any outcomes.

Cheers, mate!

How about when using latest MFM map? Do you have Custom POI installed in Nuvi? If yes, can you try remove the Custom POI (*.GPI) files and see whether the same issue is encountered.

not yet try with MFM,coz the place i go not found in MFM(the area there is blank on MFM).
i install MFM-Garmin 091102, MFM-CPOI v2.05, Malsingmaps Malaysia/Singapore/Brunei NT 2009.30 and City Navigator Sing/Mal NT 2009.30 in my 1460. MFM 091102 come with MFM Poi 091102,so which poi i have to remove it?

p/s:when time self reboot,i only use City Navigator map.

Yerterday, have some opportunity to test my 1460 on a long journey which is from Kuala Terengganu to Lembah Jabor at about 169km.

During this journey, i found out that my 1460 didnt report exact land speed after a while i.e what my actual speed (from speedometer) report 100kmhr but my 1460 still stuck to certain speed without going up or down. Assuming that happened because of system malfunctioning or internal memory problem, i restarted my 1460, its ok for a while then its happen again, same problem. Does anyone have this problem too?

I think garmin 1460 firmware is still not perfect...

Dear all,
I've just loaded the latest map 091102 with POI as well. When I pressed Where Am I, the Garmin 1460 will shut down by itself. Any idea how to fix this? I've no problem with the old map and with malsing map. I've tried to turn off the POI but still giving the same problem. Help!!!!
