Bro Nazri

You can only downgrade your nuvi200 to v3.4 if your's is the US design. Unfortunately cannot downgrade no matter how you going to do if you have other ie. indonesia version

Cheers

My nuvi 200 is version 3.9 bought more than a year. Recently my friend bought a new
nuvi200 but is no more call 200 but 200 with another letter....I forgot. Anyway he was in a
hurry leaving, so I manage to copy the whole garmin software into my pc. My question is
since his model is the latest, can I use his to overwrite my older version? Will it work that
way? or just copy some of the goodies only? Can you guys tell me what are the files that are
good use? I only knew that POI and vehicle is good to copy over. He also told me he had a
Thai map but I dunno where it is stored at in garmin. His vehicle is 104 types. His POI are as
follows :
SpeedTrap_V081023.gpi
TrafficCam_V081023.gpi
School Zones_V081023.gpi
ERPGantries_V081022.gpi
Bus Lane Alert240408.gpi
FreeWIFI_v203.GPI
GAMING_V103.GPI
Vegetarian@SG.gpi
Vegetarian.GPI
Games.GPI
FreeWIFI WMal.gpi
Alert_v202.GPI
Alert.gpi
Redlight.gpi
But the best still our MFM-CPOI v1.02...I've download and tested some of it....fabulous ! :good:
Thanks Bro Stratman II & sifu Antyong for your hardwork & dedication :tq:

I have a 200W (out of warranty) and it seemed to have developed a problem.

It is getting harder for it to lock on a sattelite and it is happening for longer period of time and with increasing regularity. Yesterday the whole trip home of 1hr's drive it would not lock on. I did a 2 hrs drive to PD and back last weekend and I had no problems with sattelite location.

I thought it was becasue maybe its becasue of the Vkool tint I have in my new car. But I recalled that I sometimes had the problem in my old car which had a different tint. In the previous car, it will eventually lock on.

I even tried it outside the car and found that it was still unable to locate the sattelite. I only got a sattelite lock of I took it upstairs and plugged in an external USB power and put it near my bedroom window.

Any ideas? Is it because of the tint or is my unit going dead? Is there some place I can send it to have it checked out?

Any help is much appreciated.

Dear Bro Charlize,

Your answer is HERE.

Do take time to read the whole thread as 24 others have done it successfully and you can learn from their experience and avoid the problems some of them faced.

I have installed some vehicle icons from garmin website. However, it didn't work as what it appears to be in my device.

For example, a pair of boots which will "walk" during navigation in nuvi 255w, appears only stationary in my nuvi 200. A ball will roll in 255W but not in mine.

Anyone experienced the above situation?
