It takes nearly 3 hours to Install Garmin City Navigator into your GPS.

No need 3 hours. Go download installer then unzip the installer to get gmapprom.img & SgMyNav.jcv to install at your device.

take about 30minit only depent to your computer hardware.

go to google type : garmin city navigator singapore malaysia 2011.20 nt

first to fourth link can get the installer.

1 - should I delete some files in my device ? because I see two (Mfm Poi 100412) in my map info .

Please update to lastest mfm maps. Mfm maps update every monday.
Go to link below u can find it. Mfm-Garmin-110822
viewforum.php?f=23

how to install see the guides
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=662

2 - is it possible 2 maps works at the same time ? mine (Mfm poi 100412 and Malsingmaps Malaysia/singapore/Brunei NT 2011.30 ) checked

Better no. I prefer mfm. but msm maps got junction view.
U will like mfm maps if u update to the lastest maps.

U also can install Garmin City Navigator Sg/My NT 2011.20 at your device. See method about.

3 - can I install papago map on nuvi 255w ? I googled didn't get much

Answer is no. Papago maps & mfm garmin maps is same. Only the software & routing is different only.
If u like papago buy another 1 papago gps device.

Postby il2005 » Mon Oct 17, 2011 12:58 pm

Hi everyone.

I bought nuvi 255W about 2 years ago before it introduce junction view to this product.
Is it possible to upgrade the software in this device to support junction view?

Either the map you are using is corrupted or it is an error to be reported.

Delete current map and reload.

If error persist, report location with co-ordinates for us to test

USA device do not support JCV. Also MFM do not have JCV as our compilor does not support feature

internal memory running very low.

i have moved other map data such as MSM to memory card and MFM in main memory, but at times add new CPOIs need to remove and then add new version, i can't overwrite automatically

Delete the following

a. Unused voice files in /garmin/voice
b. Unused vehicle files in /garmin/vehicles
c. Old POIs in /garmin/POI
d. All Help files in /garmin/help
e. Delete ALL map files and use them only in SD card ( put them in different SD cards )

** NOTE **
BACKUP before doing the above ... and BACKUP the BACKUP !!!

Help files ... these are used when you attempt to access the menu at MainMenu-Tools-Help

For older Nuvis you are stuck with the absolute directories that Nuvi will access for maps ie.. Main Menu/garmin or SD card/garmin

You can create separate directories in SD card to store different map files but Nuvi will only read maps in /garmin directory thus you need a PC/Lappy to transfer the map file ](*,) ... better off to use separate SD card ...
