Another problem faced when I try to do track log with my Nuvi760(Trip log). When I drive on the new track (Not in MFM1.03 and MSM2.30). The new track log snab to the other track (Existed in MFM1.03 and MSM2.30). As a result, I can't have accurate active track log on new track. ](*,)

Is there any way to solve this problem? [-o<

Please help. :tq:

Hi Sifus,

Need help.

1. Please teach me what is the usage of WAAS/EGNOS?

2. What is the impact/effect selecting these options?

3. Does Off Road selection give accurate tracklog of non existing road(In MFM)?

4. Mappers required 1 sec/track point for meaningful contribution. What is the tracklog update rate for Nuvi760? I can't find the information at Garmin site nor the manual.

:tq:

1. Please teach me what is the usage of WAAS/EGNOS?
See the following:
http://www8.garmin.com/aboutGPS/waas.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wide_Area_ ... ion_System

2. What is the impact/effect selecting these options?
Try and see lah!
Each different selection will result in a route calculation which is deemed appropriate for that particular mode of travel.

3. Does Off Road selection give accurate tracklog of non existing road(In MFM)?
Nothing to do with tracklogs or tracking. This is about route calculation, and routing by Off-Road method will give you a straight-line route.

4. Mappers required 1 sec/track point for meaningful contribution. What is the tracklog update rate for Nuvi760? I can't find the information at Garmin site nor the manual.
Generally, nüvis are not capable of 1-sec interval tracklogs. (There's an exception, but that's a long story I'd rather not go into here.)

Thanks for the help, Bro Tympg. So I suppose WAAS/EGNOS is not working in Malaysia.
For item 2, I had tried but did not notice any different. :(

I think one of our members tested with his GPSr last year and he concluded there was no discernible improvement on accuracy.

For many routes there will be no difference.

Hi All Nuvi 760 Sing/Mal owners:

I managed to get a copy of updated Nuvi 760 Sing/Mal firmware Version 2.10 from AECO Technologies support team(Local authorised Garmin Distributor).

Please follow the following instructions:

1. Download and unzip the file attached (GUPDATE.7z) and you will see a file called GUPDATE.GCD, copy the file to your prefer location in your computer.
2. connect the Nuvi760 to your computer, explore the device (for internal memory, not the SD card). You will see a folder called GARMIN.
3. paste the GUPDATE.GCD into this folder
4. switch off the unit and unplug it from the computer
5. switch on the unit and it should start uploading the new software.

Please backup your original GUPDATE.GCD first before the above process. I had update the above for my Nuvi760 and it working fine with firmware version2.10.

My screen looks like this after update:

*Of course, update at your own risk. :)
