Your 765 can be fitted with this antenna:
Garmin GA 25MCX low profile remote GPS antennaI did a search in
Lelong.com.my and found out a VC member here is selling the unit at RM199.

Yes, any GPS antenna would do, as long as it comes with an MCX connector.

Like me and many others, VKool is your problem.
You are fortunate that the Nuvi 765 has a connector for attaching an external antennae connector at the back.
Without to resorting to removing your VKool, you can use an external antennae.
One is the one suggested by Bro DVPro i.e to attach a passive antennae which is possible with your 765 since it has an external antennae connector. At RM199 it is relatively cheap.
For those of us without an antennae connector, we are limited to installing an active re-radiating antennae. This is powered and does not require a connector. It take the signal from outside the car and retransmit it at the other end inside the car. A local company is selling a re-radiating antennae for RM1.2K.
Lastly, you could like me stick the GPS out the window to get satellite lock and then proceed with the journey. I have a little bit of respite, there is a little portion on my front windscreen which is not covered by the VKool. This is where I stick the GPS to get a lock.
P.S. I just googled and there's a re-radiating antenna at RM200 in KL.

TQ man. i think it is VCOOL + the car wind screen material.
just tried it in my friend's CIVIC with same VCOOL model, no issue at all.

Firstly is the vkool in your car a genuine product?
My car with a vkool and nuvi765 and I placed
it on the air-cond vent and without much problem
locking on the satellite. For quick locked on within 1 min,
I placed it on the dashboard and once locked on
then placed in front of the air-cond vent outlet.
Once locked on and have no problem too
during DC vehicle charging and placing the nuvi765
down to the gear stick level.

It is an original VKool.
Having looked at this for sometime now, I have come to the conclusion that different batches of VKool on different cars experience this problem.

i agree with drsec. i think it may correlated with the car type oso due to the difference in the wind screen itself.
i confirmed CIVIC 04 and CIVIC 09 + VCOOL is ok.
Confirmed Stream 04 + VCOOL also OK.
gcteck mind sharing wat car?

I can also confirm that several BMWs/Mini fitted with VKool from a particular VKool branch around the same time has the problem.
