Converting Nuvi 2x5W Firmware to MAL/SIN Firmware

and currently version is mal/sin 2.6 convert to junction view function and etc??

Hi, I just got my 205w with US firmware. However, the US firmware doesn't have keyboard for chinese input. May I know whether the Mal/Sin firmware has the pinyin keyboard for Chinese input? Or is there any alternative to install the chinese keyboard in my US unit?

205w Sg/My 2.60 can use junction view. You can also update to the latest version (2.80).

Mal/Sin firmware includes the Chinese input. I'm not sure whether it is pinyin because I do not use it.
From my experience, I don't think you can add the Chinese input to the US firmware.

thanks for the reply, but i followed your steps and still cant view the junction view but only lane assist.

any idea what's wrg with it? i even re-dl the file which inside the JVC folder and replace still the same. cant view it.

Since you've flashed to the latest SgMy firmware, your unit now supports junction view.
It's up to you whether which map you use for the feature. If you can't see junction view for
your particular map, you've to go to the map provider for support.

You didn't even state which map and JCV file you use. If you give enough information,
may be someone will be able to help.

i am using malfreemap but i did saw some1 saying only msm can view junction view so i think need to dl that particular map then only can use that function.

http://nuvi255wfirmware.blogspot.com/..method to flash my 255w us set to local set.when i connect to usb port started to flash firmware v2.3.the process failed halfway
After disconnecting from the computer my 255w screen show system software missing and refused to proceed further.can bro help to solve this problem ? I really catch no ball now. thanks a million :

Please provide more info of ur unit so that we can help.
What is your board version? S3 or S4?

I think your problem can be resolve by following the link as i given in my earlier post.
If the screen show software missing, then u try again the step.

Do the step carefully on the slide the power button and plug in the USB into ur PC.
After see "Loading" then must release the slide power button.

Try again and see~
