Garmin Mobile XT Software Problems

Downloaded into my touch Pro... loved the new look and additional functions.
dont use it as my main navigator... so am ok with it.

I have 4.20.20 on my e66 and msm2.29. Any issue with the garminxt 5.0 upgrade?

I just upgraded my wife's E66 to V5.00.00 and it seems to be working OK. I deleted the old version from E66 and then installed V5 into the micro SD card directly. Inserting the SD back into E66, I then installed GMXT and there were no problems. This S60 version seems to have a few more items in the Setup menus vs the WM V5 - probably because of touchscreen function on WM devices. Nothing significant though.

Used to go back to Kelantan yesterday. Travelled from Shah Alam to KB. Works fine, but with minimal playing around with the software (I'm driving). Quite stable if you don't play around with it.

Upgrading GMXT will not affect your installed maps. But if you are to do a completely new install (after deleting the old GMXT), then you will lose all your Favourites, tracks, etc

Yup.. don't forget to backup your current gpx and custom POI.

Sifu... how you guys un-install the previous version, will it need the new ID again after install the new version, any further guide, please..

To upgrade from ver 4 to latest version 5 u no need to uninstall. Just install n overwrite the old version, then run the sis file located in the root folder of your memory card. Tats all.

New feature of MXT 5.00.00 that i love it:

Setting & Tools buttons consolidated into one which suit better to S60 phone left & right selection button (In ver 4 have to use the D-pad to access to the Setting option)

Press left selection key on main screen brings to Setting & other functions use to be in Tool menu in ver 4

Clear indication of next turn distance & direction on up left of the navigation screeen
