Re: Converting Nuvi 255W US Firmware to MAL/SIN Firmware
Thanks Guys/Gals for the good work. Need to confirm my Taiwan Nuvi JCV 205W HID 932 Fw v2.60 flash procedure. HID confirm from GarminDevice.xml @ <PartNumber>006-B0932-00<PartNumber>.
- Backup Nuvi
- Delete all Voice and Language Text files from the <Garmin/Text> and <Garmin/Voice> folder.
- Download the Patch (HERE) firmware.
- Rename 082701000260.RGN ------> 093201000260.RGN ( Taiwan unit only)
- Run this procedure :-
Connect your nuvi to PC,
Confirm you have back up all the file inside your Nuvi drive into your PC.
Confirm you delete the files from your Nuvi drive: Garmin/Voice/ and Garmin/Text/
Disconnect Nuvi with PC.
-Extract 2 files from the Patch Firmware into the same folder.
-Switch on Nuvi
-Press & Hold the Battery Icon [Top Right of screen] until it enter into Diagnostics screen.
-Connect Nuvi to PC via USB
-Run updater.exe
-Tick "USB"
-Click OK
-Updater.exe will prompt you the firmware older than your nuvi, Just Click "Yes" or "OK"
-Loader loading
-Wait until finished.
-Unplug mini USB.
-Completed. Now U hv SG/MAL firmware. Check Tools> System> About
-Sgmy software 2.60.
The procedure written here only mention Taiwan 255W and not the Taiwan 205W JCV... are they the same? Can the above FW and procedure works for my 205W? Thanks for any assistance.... cheers!

Re: Converting Nuvi 255W US Firmware to MAL/SIN Firmware
Hi Guy ! Good work ! I have recently buy this Garmin nuvi 265WT for my dad as "Father day present"
Just wandering it is possible to convert nuvi 265WT to using this junction view software.
I notice it was crack with Malfreemaps and have a preloaded Thailand map. Even the second loading screen have the thailand "thingi" at the bottom screen. Maybe it is a Thailand Gamin ! I'm not sure. How to check ?

Don't worry, a small misunderstanding there. However, I'd like to point out that when you hover and hold the mouse arrow over the Smilies, a label will pop out indicating the Smilies name.
