Thanks for your advise.
It's not what I'm looking for.
Actually, I have a Holux GPSlim Bluetooth Receiver.
I removed the Battery and supply power through my Car's Cigeratte Lighter

In summary, I want to run GMXT on my PDA with GPS connected when I switch on BT.

Yes, your requirement is different from the way I operated my PDA/GPSr pair.

Right now, you have to manually start the PDA BT which will pair with an already power ON GPSr and then manually start the GMXT.

If you follow my suggestion (asssuming paired successfully and turn OFF GPSr while the PDA BT is still ON) , that is, turn your PDA ON (if it is not ON) first, then, start your car (which will power ON the GPSr). With this sequence, the GPSr will trigger PDA to start the BT automatically and they will pair themselves. Once you notice the blue indicator on the PDA is ON, then, manually invoke GMXT. In this way, at least you can save the BT pairing process. Of course, it is still one step more than operating a dedicated navigation device/appliance.
When you stop driving, just turn off the car engine which will power off the GPSr and the PDA BT will turn OFF itself automatically.
To my knowledge, I don't think at the moment WM5/6 has a function to automatically invoking GMXT (or any user program).

JayCee

Re: how to backup GMXT's "My Location"

Postby LLCC » Thu Sep 10, 2009 8:59 am

Go to tools (Spanner) > Manage my data (Yellow folder with docs) > then press Manage softkey at the bottom left of screen >GPX Manage screen comes up > click Export GPX, wait for process to complete > Done.

The backup file is called current.gpx and is stored in the GPX folder of the Garmin folder in your SD card.

Bro panjang6630, no head no tail question, how to help you ](*,)

Start off by telling us what phone you have and what did maxis charge you for ? Talk time or data charges ?

You can always call Maxis and ask them to itemize the data charges.

okay after consulting another fren of mine, i transferred the gmapbmap.img from device memory to Sd card memory. And after that i delete all the other img's files except the gmapsupp.img & gmapbmap.img in my SD card. Here are the screenshots. Does this fix everything & i don't have to delete everything else after this & can continue using Garmin with peace of mind? Please advise, thank you..
