hi all frens!

I just upgraded my GMTv4.xx.xx to GMTv5.00.20. It works very well on my phone. But then, when i tried to navigate to 'my location', the program suddenly closed and went back to home screen menu. Why? I tried to reinstall many times. The same problem occurs. Any ideas to solve this problem? ](*,) ](*,)

Thanks in advance.

Bro edchuang,

It does solve but it create another problem  . Some POI does not shown anymore.

What I do was in Map Setting I switch off the POI. Hopefully any other expert can help us for the permanent solution.

I am using E71. Anyway, I have solved it. I opened Garmin website and downloaded the software using the given link. Then, I deleted the program in my handphone and I reinstalled it. :peace:

Thanks anyway.

Hi Bro GHz, the square black blocks are the road POIs. It appeared now is because you have selected the Road POIs during installation of MFM map. The purpose of these POIs is to allow user search for road names via Where to? -> Points of Interest -> Spell Name and not meant for display.

You can off the display of these road POIs in MXT by the following steps:
1) Go to Tools -> Manage My Data -> Map Sets -> MapSource.
2) There are 3 items under MFM map, i.e.
(i) Malfreemaps vXXXX,
(ii) MFM POI vXXXX and
(iii) MFM POI vXXXX.
3) One of the MFM POI vXXXX is for the Road POIs, uncheck it.
4) This is it, the square blocks will be disappeared from MFM map. :D

76gpsguy, if we turn that display off can we still search road names?
from Garmin Que for Pocket PC to Garmin Mobile XT for Windows Mobile to Nuvi 205W to Papago M9 for Android & now Garmin Nuvi 2576.

Bro,

I guess this is going to be similar when I disabling POI in the Map setting

Setting-> Map->Map Feature->POI

Change it to off. but unfortunately road search & some POI icon is missing. If I remember correctly this black block is not there before. Really can't remember what do I change which cause this black block to show up. :frus:
